Woman Who Carries Gold Between Her Teeth: The Etiquette of the Underworld

Martin Shaw

This gathering focuses around the mythic feminine and the Underworld within story, especially the story of Psyche and Eros. Supported by conversation around the story of Inanna and many fairy tales Martin has told over the years, this will be an illuminating journey for both women and men.

Alongside a day telling of the Greek epic, we ask what are the characteristics required to survive an encounter with the Underworld? What are the correct mistakes and appropriate libations? What could you return with to give as a gift?

Could it be, as Martin suggests, we are already culturally in the Underworld?

This is a day that brings together much of Martins insights from leading The Great Mother conference in Maine, USA over much of the last decade.
